Alberta L. Seymour

Ms. Alberta Seymour was a 1930 graduate of Coppin. She was 100 years old at the time of her death. Ms. Seymour was active in her community and in her church. After receiving her certificate from Coppin, she held a career as a research clerk for the Maryland State Income Tax Division. Ms. Seymour's generosity was not only extended to Coppin. She also left bequests for other charities including her church Wayman Good Hope A.M.E. in Severna Park, the Bea Gaddy Women & Children?s Center, the Maryland Food Committee and the NAACP. Coppin received $25,000 from Ms. Seymour; the largest portion of her estate.
